How does the contest work?

Perform a dance solo in any of these styles:

  • Contemporary dance

  • Contemporary ballet

  • Fusion of the previous styles

You will have to record it in one shot and no edits with the device you have (camera or mobile phone) and in the space of your choice (dance room, forum, or public space) either the fixed camera or someone else records you (moving camera).

The duration of your choreography should be a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 3 min. You can do it with costume or training clothes.

Remember that it is important to show your physical abilities without forgetting the artistic content of your piece. Explore your creativity and don't take unnecessary risks, take care of your body.

The solo can be already existing or a new choreography creation. The dancer's abilities will be evaluated, so the choreography can be your own or that of a third party.

What will be evaluated?

Five general aspects will be evaluated:

1. Concept. That you show clarity in the topic to be developed.

2. Interpretation. How do you translate that concept into your body?

3. Technique. How you use your breath, space management, and work on three levels; floor, standing, and jumps.
